Bio Gel vs Shellac Nails in Markham: Which One Lasts Longer?

If you’re choosing between bio gel and shellac at a Markham nail salon, here’s the honest breakdown.

Bio gel (new set from $60) is a thicker, builder-style gel that’s cured under a lamp. It adds real strength and a little length to your natural nails, and with normal care it lasts 2–3 weeks before you need a refill ($50). It’s the better pick if your nails are thin, break easily, or you want a shape that holds — almond, coffin, or stiletto.

Shellac (manicure $35) is a hybrid of polish and gel: thinner than bio gel, cured under a lamp, no drying time, mirror shine. It lasts about 2 weeks on healthy natural nails, and removal is a quick soak-off. It’s the better pick if your natural nails are already strong and you just want long-wearing colour.

The quick rule: need strength or shape? Go bio gel. Just want colour that won’t chip? Go shellac.

Either way, both get the same careful treatment at our shop — cuticle care included, never rushed. New here? Your first visit is 20% OFF. Walk-ins are welcome at 50 Lockridge Ave, Unit 12 (Goldbrite Centre, near 16th Ave & Warden), or book online in about a minute.
